Delivering a "fresh take on the blues," the Waterstreet Blues Band performs high energy interpretations of jump, hard rocking electric and urban style blues; adding a splash of jazz or a funky New Orleans groove. Comprised mostly of original tunes, this album represents the collective experiences and influences of the band.

The traditional 12 bar blues form is significantly altered or infused with jazz, pop and latin elements. Ranging from the funky "North South," the minor blues "Hit the Wall," the rollicking "Hard Lovin' Man" (a set-ending favourite), the New Orleans-pop, Next to You, through to the jazzy vibe of "Cautious Eyes," the blues are never far away.

With "Evening," "Fine and Mellow," and "I Get Evil," Waterstreet pays homage to three musical giants: T Bone Walker, Billie Holiday and Albert King.
