At the heart of waterstreet are three good friends who play their book of original "blues songs with a twist" featured on their first cd and on their soon to be released second cd. They also perform music from their favourite artists across genres rooted in the blues with a rockin' party groove, a little swing, a side order of louisiana spice along with a big helping of original tunes. You'll dance!

Waterstreet as a trio, 4 or 5-piece plays festivals, clubs and venues in Southern Ontario. They have made many festival appearances including the Kitchener Blues Festival, West Coast Blues Festival, Lighthouse Blues Festival, Orangeville Blues and Jazz Festival, Uptown Waterloo Jazz Festival and more. They've opened for Randy Bachman, Rik Emmett, Powder Blues Band, Mel Brown, Downchild Blues Band, Duke Robillard Band, Jeff Healey, and Lil’ Ed and the Blues Imperials. Individual members of the band have shared the stage with Maria Muldaur, Big Dave McLean, Delta Moon, Marcia Ball, Alysha Brilla, Shakura S’Aida, Cheryl Lescom, and Miss Angel and the Homewreckers. Their first cd “Another Life” will soon joined by their second recording later this year. Rob & Silvia also lead a project called Silvia Dee & the Boyfriends as a duo and musical friends for a spicy combo experience.

Rob Deyman: Left-handed guitar(s) / vocals Rob started in the Winnipeg Folk/Blues scene playing jug band, bluegrass and country blues in the Cast Iron Potty Band often playing with western Canadian blues legends Big Dave McLean and Gord Kidder. Rob’s Influences range from T-Bone Walker, Mel Brown, Freddie and BB King, SRV, and Miles Davis. Rob was the catalyst for the formation of waterstreet. His blues-tinged leads provide a soulful musical direction for the band.

Paul Sapounzi: Bass / Vocals Paul is a big British rock fan who plays a mean vintage Hofner or Ricky. Paul started playing bass in high school with his band the Shoes. Rob and Paul met professionally outside of music and soon discovered a common love of music and performance. They soon began playing together with thoughts of starting a band. The rest they say….. is history. Paul’s vocals are a cross between the urban blues of Colin James and the melody and rawness of early McCartney. Far and away the best sense of humour on the stage, he regularly shares his talent for fun with the audience.

Silvia Dee: Keyboards /accordion/ vocals Silvia loves jazz, blues and latin styles and has been playing music all her life. She has been influenced by Professor Longhair, Dr. John, Billie Holiday, Nina Simone, Ray Charles and Johnnie Johnson to name a few. Silvia's stage presence and vocals command the attention of any audience and are a key featured component of the waterstreet sound. She delivers emotionally rich vocals as she presents her own songs or her own take on artists such as Marcia Ball, Billie Holiday, Susan Tedeschi, Norah Jones and SRV.
